Premium

My Playlist Support

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I add songs?

Three ways: (1) tap “+” in the app and pick audio from Files or iCloud Drive, (2) choose My Playlist from another app’s share sheet, or (3) drop files into the My Playlist folder in the Files app. Any audio format iPhone can play works (mp3, m4a, aac, wav, aiff, FLAC, and more).

Why does it say “Unknown Artist”?

The audio file has no artist tag — common with files exported from mastering services. Set your name in the Profile tab and it will be applied automatically from then on. For songs already imported, use “Set artist name for all” from the sort button in Library.

What is Premium?

A one-time purchase that unlocks appearance options (theme color, font, text color, list/grid). Everything about playing and storing your music stays free. You pay once — there is no recurring charge.

I changed devices and lost Premium

Tap “Restore Purchases” on the Premium card in the Profile tab, while signed in with the same Apple ID used for the purchase.

Privacy Policy

Information We Collect

My Playlist collects no information whatsoever. There is no account, no server of ours, and no analytics.

What Is Stored on Your Device

Imported audio files, titles and artist names, playlists, cover images, your profile name and photo, and app settings are stored only on your device. None of it is transmitted anywhere.

Photo Access

Choosing a cover or profile photo uses the standard iOS photo picker, which hands the app only the single image you choose — the app never reads your photo library.

Purchases

Premium is purchased through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles all payment information; we never receive it. The app only checks whether the purchase exists.

Advertising

The Profile screen has one section, “Artist Tools”, holding a single ad banner for an outside service. It is labelled “Ad” and carries the advertiser’s name so that it reads clearly as advertising.

The banner is served through A8.net, an affiliate network. Showing it requires loading the image from A8.net’s servers, but nothing about you is sent: not your songs, playlists or profile, and no advertising identifier (IDFA). No cookies are kept on your device.

Tapping the banner opens the advertiser’s own website. Anything you do there is covered by that company’s privacy policy, not this one.

Third Parties

Since no information is collected, none is shared. Showing the ad above does not hand your information to the advertiser or to A8.net either.
